Alexander's Journal - Part 1
I have been traveling for so long and have seen a great many things. My studies have brought me over most of this fair and sometimes frightening continent. I have seen the Hills of Laeric with their enchantingly beautiful views. I have seen terrors no man should have to know exists out beyond the coasts of Cray. I have learned much during my time away. I have learned languages and how to control (in my own small way) the forces of reality and the wondrous items that can and do exisit. A few I have been lucky enough to even see with my own eyes. I’ve even earned myself a companion as well.
While all this has been great and joyous, today I have no dream or desire greater than to return home. I have but a day’s travel remaining before I can look upon the gates to the castles’ yard once again. To hear the bang and clang of Collin the blacksmith as he pounds out another shoe for the horses or armor for the guards. To smell the bakers fresh bread once more will be heavenly. However, I almost hold my breath at the thought of seeing her once again. To see Amelia, my dear sweet sister, again after all these years. I wonder how she has grown; what kind of woman she has become. I hope she likes Veritas.
